Garden waste collections
Garden waste collections have now stopped for the winter and will resume in spring.
Clinical waste collections
Clinical collections will operate the same changed days as waste and recycling collections.
Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRC)
Household Waste Recycling Centres will be closed on 25th and 26th December as well as 1st January.

Victoria Theatre box office
Our Bank Holiday opening times are only for performance days and is a foyer service only (no phone service).

Libraries
All libraries will close from Tuesday 24th December at 1pm. We re-open as per our normal opening hours on Friday 3rd January 2025.
Sports centres and swimming pools
Centres will be closed on Wednesday 25th December.
Registrars service
We are closed from the 25th to the 29th December.
We are open between 9am and 4.30pm on the 30th and 31st of December, for pre-booked death registration appointments and pre-booked ceremonies only.
We are closed on the 1st of January. Then open as usual from the 2nd of January.
We won’t be offering an express certificate service after the 23rd of December until the 2nd of January.
Markets
All Markets are closed 25th and 26th December and 1st January.
Hebden Bridge Market will operate on Monday 23rd December as an additional day.
The Borough Market and Todmorden market will be open Christmas eve.
All normal market days are resumed on 27th December with the exception of Elland market which will be closed.
Museums
Shibden Hall is closed until the 1st March.
Bankfield Museum is open 10am-3pm on Christmas Eve and will reopen on Thursday 2nd January.
Park Wood Crematorium
The crematorium grounds will be open over the Christmas and New Year Period.
Grounds open from 9am until 5pm on 25th and 26th December as well as 1st January. The office and Book of Remembrance will be closed on these days.
Customer First
Customer First offices will closed on the 25th December 2024 until 2nd January 2025.
