Course description
The qualification purpose is to give learners knowledge and understanding and an introduction to the skills required in health and care to support progression to employment, to an apprenticeship or to further study at a higher level.
It will provide learners with a broad introduction to the health and care sector, equipping learners with underpinning knowledge and skills specific to the sector alongside a range of transferable employability skills.
Learners will need to complete all assignments and activities in class and occasionally have work to complete at home.
Learners will be given regular written/verbal feedback and support to enable them to build a portfolio of work that will be assessed by the awarding organisation. Achievement is therefore determined by successful completion of a comprehensive portfolio.
