Course description
This course is designed to provide learners with a flexible route to developing the skills in English, which will enable them to build confidence and provide a foundation for further study towards higher skills in ESOL, a move towards employment or as a stepping stone to vocational study.
Learners will gain skills and confidence in speaking, listening and reading.
Content includes reading straightforward texts and taking part in group class talks. Progression is assessed by individual reading and group activities.
This course will guide and teach you how to build on English conversational skills, work in groups and participate in group discussions. You will acquire a basic level reading and speaking. You will also learn and understand the importance of pronunciation skills in English.

Entry Level - Qualifications at Entry 1 to Entry 3 recognise basic knowledge and skills used in everyday life or in the workplace, and help to build confidence.
Who is this course for?
Residents of Calderdale aged 19+ who want to practice their conversational English to be able to function effectively in everyday life activities such as asking for items at the supermarket, making an appointment or telling someone brief details about themselves.
What do I need to bring?

To do this you will need access to IT equipment such as a smartphone, laptop, PC or tablet, and a stable internet connection.
